TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR BODY AND LIVE A HEALTHY LIFE



It's so surprising and saddening to hear about the news of people dying of chronic diseases. ..The incidence is skyrocketing and gradually getting out of hand..
All health bodies and organisations are beginning to fear the worse...Diseases and ailments that can be prevented are gradually claiming lives of many today. .
Chronic diseases like hypertension, cancers, diabetes, chronic respiratory diseases, etc are cutting short the lives of millions. .
Most of these deaths can be prevented...We don't have to lose people to these diseases when they're just around 40 or 50..
Our great grand fathers were not dying at 40 or 50..They lived so long and fathered numerous children..Died at a good old age and were celebrated , but today the reverse is the case. .
Instead of frying 5 or 6 eggs to eat with that Noodles why not just fry 1 only??..Instead of eating a whole bowl of processed stored chicken why not eat little amount of it?? Instead of clogging your arterial walls with so much cholesterol why not limit the amount of animal protein you take in??
It'll surprise you to know that WHO has given us a pattern in which we should feed in order to stay healthy..
Whole grains which include rice , soyabean, wheat etc should amount to 50% of your meal...
Fruits and vegetables should amount to 30% of your meal..
Protein should only be 15%
Fats and sugars should ONLY be 5%
Sad to say though most of us do the reverse. .Hence the widespread occurrence of all types of cancers, diabetes and hypertension in young people...
It is never too late to live a healthy life...Ensure that you do some form of exercise daily..Never let a day pass without engaging your whole body in activities. Be it walking, dancing, jogging , squatting what have you..Get your joints in motion and help to prevent obesity. .
Rest at least 7 hours at night and 1 hour during the day..The need for rest cannot be underestimated. .Unfortunately work has taken a great toll on most of us that we hardly find the time to rest....To stay healthy, you need to rest..
You are what you eat. Diet has a major role in staying healthy..Eat less canned food...Eat more of fresh fruits and vegetables. ..Fruits and vegetables kill no one..Eat less animal fat because they contain a high level of cholesterol. .No wonder you'll see a 30 year old slump and die of cardiac arrest...Drink lots of water ..Reduce alcohol intake .If you're a smoker, reduce the sticks of cigarette and make it your goal to quit ..
Living healthy and staying healthy is a way of life..Most people who are wealthy think that eating anything they can afford is an evidence of good living...Am sorry to say if you're not eating a balanced diet then you're using your money to hasten your death instead of preserving yourself alive...
Due to over processing of fruits and vegetables, we find out that we are not getting enough minerals and vitamins needed by our body..This is where supplements come in...There are supplements that are rich in vitamins and minerals which help to prevent some of these chronic diseases we face today...
